Welcome to Something’s Cooking!

A newsletter by Chandni Kukreja, creator of the blog cookreja.com, where I share easy recipes and Indian meal prep tips to help make feeding yourself and your loved ones more fun.

I’ve learned a lot over the years from the amazing cooks in my family, cooking shows, cookbooks, podcasts, and the internet. But moving out of home and managing my own kitchen has been the most humbling and teaching food experience of all.

I’ve come to realise that my style of cooking (and eating) is very very simple. I like dishes that are easy to put together and wholesome to eat. Just the way I ate growing up. I’ve also come to realise that I’m not a foodie. I crave familiarity and comfort from my food and trying something new is rarely at the top of my food list.

While I continue to document these easy recipes and meal prep tips on my blog, this newsletter will be my way of directly reaching out to you and sharing with you all the things I’m learning (and unlearning) while I attempt to make cooking my daily meals easier.

Whether you’re new to this cooking-for-yourself thing, an expert, or anywhere in the spectrum, thank you for joining me on this delicious and messy journey. We have a lot to learn from one another in an attempt to make our taste buds and our tummies happy. Thanks for spending some of your time with me.
